Women's Christmas Tea

Our United Methodist Women host a holiday tea and boutique each year on the first Saturday in December. Mark your calendar for December 1. The Boutique will open at 1:00 pm as well as the Social Hall for table viewing. The program featuring the Pitman High School Madrigal Choir under the direction of Yohan Partan begins at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary, with the tea immediately following. Table space is limited, so please contact our church office at 668-3000 or Paulette Cooper at berylady@sbcglobal.net for reservations.
Hanging of the Greens Worship Service

On the first Sunday of Advent we will have a special service of Hanging of the Greens. This service will help us understand the meaning and symbolism behind many of the things we use to decorate our church and homes during the Christmas season.

Our Sunday School Children are leading a worship service not to be missed. They will share a story about the most important gift anyone will ever get for Christmas Sunday, December 9 at 10:30 am. There will only be one service this Sunday. The program will feature students from preschool through high school. The worship service will include songs, readings and an inspiring skit.
Following the Annual Children’s Program we invite you to a special Fellowship Time in the Social Hall.
This is a musical treat for the whole family on Sunday, December 16 during our 10:30 AM Worship Service. Under the direction of Rebecca Somers our Chancel Choir will fill the Sanctuary with the wonderful sounds of the season celebrating the story of the birth of Jesus. Sing Joy to all the World: A Christmas Celebration will only be presented this special day not to be missed.
The First United Methodist Church of Turlock will offer two unique worship services to celebrate Christmas!
Christmas Eve Services:
5:00 pm Service – A time for families to come and worship. The children will enjoy a special children’s story as we celebrate Jesus's birthday. We will sing carols and end the service with candlelight and cupcakes!
11:00 pm Service – As we gather for this sacred hour of Advent we will share Communion as well as carols. We will conclude the service with candlelight in celebration of our Savior’s birth.
