Youth Ministries
Our youth have a place where they can be themselves and discover God’s love. Our gatherings are built on respect and care for one another, and living our faith every day.
The First United Methodist youth ministry includes weekly Sunday School classes for 6th through 8th graders, and evening groups called UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship). In the past years our youth have performed in church plays, served meals to the homeless, waterslides at Great Wolfe Lodge, participated in fun games and thoughtful discussions, and repaired homes for needy families as well numerous community service projects. Annually our Senior High Youth Group spend a week of their summer on a mission trip through Sierra Service Project. All of this happens in groups that meet weekly and emphasize fun, caring, and support.

*Middle School (6th - 8th grade) Youth Group meets Sundays 4:30pm – 5:30 pm
*Senior High Youth Group meets Sundays 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Summer 2026 our youth had a great time serving in Del Norte County with Sierra Service Project. While there we worked on building a porch, stairs, painting and fencing. We also worked on community projects restoring natural habitats and removing evasive plant species from beaches.
