Our youth have a place where they can be themselves and discover God’s love. Our gatherings are built on respect and care for one another, and living our faith every day.
The First United Methodist youth ministry includes weekly Sunday School classes for 6th through 12th graders, and evening groups called UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship). In the past year our youth have performed in church plays, worked with Habitat for Humanity, gone Christmas caroling and bowling, participated in fun games and thoughtful discussions, and repaired homes for needy families as well numerous community service projects. Annually our Senior High Youth Group spend a week of their summer on a mission trip through Sierra Service Project. All of this happens in groups that meet weekly and emphasize fun, caring, and support.
*Junior High Youth Group meets Sundays 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Asbury Quad.
*Senior High Youth Group meets Sundays 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the Senior High Classroom in Asbury Hall.
